Mud, rain, sun, and the thrill of bikes, we headed over to this year's Malle Mile Festival with our custom built bikes, each astride our carefully crafted custom machines. From the shed built KLR 650 which just got back from the Bike Shed Show, to the freshly transformed CB750 and the rugged H.D Scrambler Sportster, our diverse collection stood ready for a mega experience, even if they weren't built for the challenges of thick mud, loose gravel, or wet wet grass.
The event was so so cool, as we messed about on our bikes, sometimes pushing the limits a tad too much, resulting in a few tumbles and a few bruised egos. Yet, these mishaps were all the best parts of the Malle Mile fun! The live music playing at night whilst you have a few beers in your hand, then jumping back on your bike to get back to camp. Our time was nothing short of wicked, a blend of booming tunes and the tinkering expertise of our go-to repair whiz, Graham, mended the ‘occasional’ casualties of our spirited escapades….
One standout was our little marvel, 'Yaki,' a hybrid two-stroke wonder custom built for Leon, our youngest BRCO crew member. One of the coolest Christmas gifts, this event marked our first recce with 'Yaki,' revealing its thrilling potential.
Amidst the roaring engines and tire-squealing, the festival showcased an amazing collection of pre-unit bikes, some worth more collectively than all our rides combined. Yet, the spirit of the occasion brought these bikes to life being used as mere playthings. The sight of these unique, rare, and beautiful machines being pushed to their limits throughout the three-day festival was phenomenal to see. It really was something special to see and we can't wait till next year!
